WEDNESDAY

It is fair to say that the ground has reached saturation point, making play quite difficult for most of the field. Try telling Dave Wippell who recorded the day's best score and finished with 38 points.

Our field numbers are great at the moment, with 93 starting in this event sponsored by 'The Cranleys' (John & Bev Cranley). The extra numbers enabled us to include a 4th prize in each grade this week.

The trial of the 3 different grades playing off different coloured tees did confuse a few, especially those on the borderline between grades. Some players ended up playing the competition in C-Grade but were in B-Grade for the NTP’s, and the same between A and B grades. I think the M Power system even had difficulty understanding its system.

A-Grade: Dave Wippell 38, Gary Menyweather 35, Mark Kelly 34, Mike Kent 34.
B-Grade: Derek Clayton 35, Dave Lyons 34, Peter Palmer 30, Michael Lunney 29.
C-Grade: Gary Duncum 36, Tony Atkins 35, Andrew Aves 34, Anthony Jones 33 c/b.
