Congratulations to Rod Booth who was presented with his Life Membership of the Vets on Wednesday, an outstanding effort now and over the past 15 years. His work is mainly behind the scenes, but he has been instrumental in providing enjoyment for all of us over an extended period.

The existing Vets Committee is still seeking expressions of interest from other members to take on some of the roles in 2026. The future is in your hands.

WEDNESDAY

Unfortunately, we had to alter our planned Irish Split 6 Stableford at the last moment due to a problem with the system being unable to print the cards. The problems we have been experiencing with the system in the starters box are occurring way too often and will require a rethink of the types of competitions we run on shotgun start days. It is frustrating for both players and officials.

Thank you to our sponsors The Leprechauns, Jim Henderson, Dave Lyons, Terry Lyons, Joe Daniels and, Grant Smallacombe.

We did, however, play a Single Stableford event in 3 grades using manual cards. Unfortunately, we are unable to send these scores to Golflink without a considerable amount of effort.

A-Grade: Kerry Davies 36 c/b, Scott Bennett 36, Peter Piggott 34.
B-Grade: Derek Wood 37, Gavin Slater 36 c/b, Paul Williams 36.
C-Grade: Dale Boys 42, Tony Atkins 39, Mike Smith 38.

Run Down: to 33 c/b.

NTPs are sponsored by Pete's Village Bakery, Yandina, Noosa Outlook Prestige Meat, Tewantin, and Cooroy Harvest Fresh, Cooroy.

1st hole: Ken Green, John Cairns
7th hole: Kerry Davies, Grant Smallacombe, Paul Williams
13th hole: John Cranley
15th hole: Richard Gibson, Dale Rickard, Rod Waldron

HOST DAY PROGRAM

Cooroy did very well in the SCDVGA 2 Ball Aggregate Stableford held recently at Maroochy River, with teams coming in 4th, 5th, and 6th place. Congratulations to Andrew Aves and Paul Williams, Paul Korczynski and Scott Bennett, John and Bev Cranley.

Monday, 31st March: We host Gympie, Nambour and Tin Can Bay. It is an 8.00 am shotgun start. The booking sheet is now available online.

Monday, 28th April 2025: Nominations for the SCDVGA District Championships at Headland are full but we still have room for 3 reserves who will get preference if any cancellations occur.

LOST CLUBS

On Wednesday John Cranley left 2 clubs on the course. As yet they haven't been handed in at the club. They are XXO brand - not cheap.

The group behind did not find them and John did drive around looking for them.

Hopefully, someone picked them up and will hand them in.

WHAT'S COMING UP

Wednesday, 26th March: Single Stableford with the ladies playing off the Red Tees. The men will have a choice between Yellow, Red, White or Blue.
