GENERAL UPDATE

Club Shirts

Our supplier, after 15 years in business, ceased operations overnight. While unexpected, this does present some positives for us. We can now source our shirts directly from the Cooroy Golf Club and refresh the colour that has served us well for many years.

Over the next few weeks, the Vets Committee will review options and settle on a new colour and design. In discussions with the Club Manager, Wayne has expressed support for the same style of shirt worn by him and the bar staff, as they are cool, comfortable, and practical.

This change also marks the end of our Monthly Medal shirts, including those planned for December 2025. For 2026, Monthly Medal winners will receive an embroidered golf towel (already purchased and supplied) plus a $50 credit to their house account. Players then have the option to purchase a Monthly Medal shirt from the club if they wish.

We will keep you updated as the new shirt design progresses.

Competition Prizes

We want to raise the value to keep pace with inflation, but this is not presently possible. With this in mind, I have written to the CGC President requesting a review of the breakdown of the $5 competition fee increase introduced by the previous CGC Committee. The aim is to ensure the arrangement remains fair, transparent and workable for everyone.
