This month’s newsletter brings you important updates on governance, staffing, competitions, facilities, and digital improvements. Please take a moment to read through the following announcements.

🏛 Constitution Rewrite – Member Review Invitation
|
As part of our commitment to good governance and long-term sustainability, the Management Committee has worked with CPR Group to continue the work on a new Constitution. This document aligns with the Associations Incorporation Act 1981 (Qld) and reflects modern governance standards. The new Constitution is designed to:
|
- Ensure fairness and transparency for all members.
- Clarify disciplinary and appeal processes.
- Support inclusive participation and decision-making.
- Empower the Board to act in the Club’s best long-term interests.
We will host a member forum on Thursday November 6th at 6:30 PM in at the Club House to answer questions and gather feedback on the supplied draft. It is the intention of the Management Committee to present this Draft Constitution for adoption at the November Annual General Meeting.

🌱 Staffing Update – Course Superintendent
|
We wish to inform you that, effective late Friday, October 3rd, our Course Superintendent Warren Smith submitted his resignation. We thank Warren for his dedication and the many improvements he oversaw during his tenure.
|
The Management Committee is now initiating the search for a suitable replacement. In the meantime, our greens staff are receiving contractual support from Global Turf, ensuring the course remains well-maintained.

⛳ Golf Competitions – Fee Adjustments
|
Due to rising costs in course maintenance, equipment, and operations, the Management Committee has decided to adjust competition fees. We have opted not to increase membership fees this year, recognizing the financial pressures on our members.
|
New Competition Fee Structure (Effective Saturday, 1st November):
|
- Members (Wed, Thurs, Sat): $20
- Ladies 9-hole (Tues): $10
- Visitors (Club competitions): Increased
- Social Golf (Non-members): Increased
- Social Golf (Members): No change
For any questions or concerns, please contact the Management Committee directly. We kindly ask that you do not direct fee-related queries to our volunteer Match Committee, who continue to do a fantastic job preparing competitions.

We’re excited to announce that work is underway to modernise our Club website. The new site will include:
|
- A members-only section for updates and resources.
- The ability for social golf players to book and pay online.
- A simple layout with updated photos and drone footage to show off our wonderful course.
This upgrade will improve accessibility and convenience for all members and guests.
|

🚻 Facilities Update – Men’s Toilet Refurbishment
|
Starting Monday, 20th October, refurbishment work will begin on the men’s toilets. The project is expected to take 2–3 weeks, and temporary portable toilets will be available during this period.This upgrade is a long-overdue and part of our commitment to improving Club facilities.

- Quorum & Voting: 25 financial members required; ensure your membership is current
