WEDNESDAY
105 players turned up and played in our 4-Person Ambrose. A big thank you to the competition sponsor John Butler. Through John’s request and generosity, we were able to add a prize for the last-placed team. This team was the only full team of ladies in the competition. The ladies have made a point of how much they are enjoying playing in the Vets and are very appreciative of how they have been welcomed out on the course.
As normal with these Ambrose competitions, the results were very tight, and the last group still came in with a very respectable score.

HOST DAYS
Our 1st Host Day will be a visit to Headland on Monday the 3rd of February.
The nomination sheet will be on display near the Vets’ pin-up board.
If you have nominated, you are representing the Cooroy Veterans Golf Club, so please ensure that you show up. In the past, we have been named and shamed by other clubs because our players have failed to turn up without prior notification. The District Vets Association takes a dim view of no-shows.
If for some reason you can’t make it, you need to advise Vets Host Day Captain, John Cranley, mobile 0475735221. NOTE: Do not ring the host club. Mt Coolum visit us on Monday the 10th of February. It is an 8.00 am shotgun start. Booking for this game is open and can only be done online.
Once again if you nominate and can’t make it, please promptly remove your name from the booking sheet.
Indications are that Mt Coolum will send about 85 players. They are keen to retain the COO-COO Shield.
