Your update on what's happening at Cooroy Golf Club

We hope this message finds you well! As you’re aware, the course has been closed this past week, but we’re thrilled to share that our hardworking grounds team has been making great progress to get it back in shape for both members and visitors.
|
If all goes well, we anticipate reopening the course for walking golfers this Saturday, with a Medley Stableford competition scheduled. Please keep an eye on the website for daily updates, which are usually posted by 6am. Golf carts, however, may remain unavailable until after Christmas due to the conditions.

To give some perspective on the weather challenges, the course has received significant rainfall recently:

- November: 290 mm over 9 days of rain
- December (to date): 280 mm over 12 days of rain
That’s over 20 inches in the old scale! Despite the sodden fairways, the greens have held up remarkably well, thanks to the dedication of our team. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work towards making the course playable again.

Although the weather sadly meant that many of our Christmas break-ups couldn’t go ahead, we’ve loved seeing the festive spirit among our members.
