WEDNESDAY
The renovated greens proved challenging for most players, but this was not the case for Gary Menyweather who chipped in twice to take putting out of the equation. Gary scored 44 points and shot his age off the stick.
A-Grade Winner: Gary Menyweather 44. Runner-up Studley Martin 37. B-Grade Winner: Gavin Slater 37. Runner-up Ross Maloney 35. C-Grade Winner: Jim Gregg 39. Runner-up Andrew Aves 36.
4th: Studley Martin, Mike Smith.
10th: Studley Martin, Ross Maloney, Rudy Agerbeek.
12th: Brett LeMoy, Ray Lally, Tim Rutledge.
The single Stableford scores count toward the Stableford Player of the Year. The leaderboard can be viewed on the Vets pin-up board. With only 3 Stableford games remaining (weather permitting) Gary Menyweather’s tactic of not playing at Noosa may pay off as his 44 points replaces a 35 and his total to date is 372 points.
Wednesday, 18th of DECEMBER will be our final game for the year and also our free Xmas lunch. The Vets have arranged through Wayne for the club to cater the event and we have catered for 120 given that the Ladies Vets members are invited for the first time this year. We will be playing a 4 Person Ambrose Medley with a twist. Following after golf will be lunch and the trophy presentation. Special guests will be the Penman family.
Grant has completed the Vets program for 2025, and we are looking for some member sponsors for several games. We have been blessed in the past with our member sponsors coming up with novelty team names and sponsoring so many of our events. Through this sponsorship, we can offer free Mary’s Hut BBQ’s, and Xmas lunch.
If interested in being a sponsor, please speak to one of the Committee. Some of our sponsors come up with novelty ideas that they wish to be included on the day.

HOST DAY
Our last Host Day for the year saw 24 of our players venture to Noosa. The best of our players were Mike Kent 41, Terry Lyons 38, Tina Thomas 36, Kate Sawrey 36, Bob Atkin 35, Scott Bennett 35.

2024 Jim Penman Host Day Trophy
Mike Kent’s 41 points saw him jump to the top of the leaderboard with 342 points and therefore taking out this year’s trophy on a countback from David Tink. With fewer games planned for next year due to holding shotgun starts and inviting multiple clubs on the same day, we will revise next year’s rules accordingly.
