This week's Pairs Special 6’s competition attracted 83 starters and some very good team scores with Greg Michael and Paul O’Hare outstanding.

Runners/up: John Stewart, Hans Herrle – 66 points c/b.
Third Place: Rod Turner, Kent Griffith – 66 points.

WHAT's COMING UP
- Wednesday, 25th September – 7.30 SHOTGUN START. International All-Stars Vs Aussies. A popular format played as a Single Stableford. Normal prizes for individual scores. Also, 2 Aussie Teams will take on the International All-Stars with the best 10 scores from each team combining to find the winning team. Each member of the winning team receives 2 golf balls and the important bragging rights.
This competition has been played 9 times with the International All-Stars captained by Jim Henderson winning 4 times, the Aussie Attack captained by Grant Smallacombe winning 3 times and the True Blue Aussies captained by Dave Lyons have something to prove having won just twice.
- Wednesday, 9th October is Red October Day. The Red October Team will come up with something interesting as usual. This day will also be a Ladies' invite day with all players off the red tees. We will be having a free hamburger and drink on offer at Marty’s Hut, all possible because of our generous member sponsors.
- Tuesday, 24th September: 13 Hole Ladies Invite - 4 Person Ambrose, 7.00 am shotgun start. The booking sheet is on the table near the vets' noticeboard. The ladies will also have a sheet in use. This is a popular and enjoyable event. For any late entries please call Grant on 0439171707.
- Thursday, 17th October: Ladies Tee Up for Cancer. Male Vets are invited to this 4BBB and PINK will be the order of the day. This was a great event last year and was well supported by the Vets. There will be a booking sheet available on the Vets' table or see our Ladies Captain Kate Sawrey. We would all like a cancer free future; personal donations are welcome, see Kate Sawrey.

HOST DAYS

On Monday the 30th of September we host Headland. It is a time start with bookings available online. We only have 27 Cooroy players at this stage and are looking for more.
