Recently many of our members received an e-mail from a small group calling themselves Cooroygolf Transparency. Members have quite rightly expressed concern that the email exposed their private email to every other person receiving the email.

This group was not given access to your private e-mail address by this Committee or the Club. They were never given permission or authorised by the Club to circulate your email to all other people who received that communication.
|
As a Management Committee, we are accountable and have a responsibility to ensure the information provided is CORRECT information.
|
This group can circulate anything they like as they are not accountable to you. You have received much misinformation from them in the past.
|
Their most recent correspondence claimed that they had a copy of Wayne’s resignation and have falsified its content by adding words that were never part of the original document.

These people have used social media and other platforms to:
|
- Post derogatory comments about some of our female members.
- Post derogatory comments about Rod Booth, highlighting his inability to play golf anymore and ignoring the large amount of time he freely devotes to activities of the club that benefit members.
- Post derogatory comments about Peter Piggott and myself, referring to our building ability and leadership.
- Wrongly accused all Committee members of being involved in “highly illegal” activities.
There have been many other false allegations.

Spineless people who must resort to denigrating people on social media have no respect from me and would not be ideal people to serve on your Management Committee.
