My doctor told me that I'm at an age where I should install a bar in the shower. I must say I'm really quite pleased with it!

WEDNESDAY
We finally did it, and on an appropriate day. A record field of 101 played in our ANZAC Day 4 Man Ambrose sponsored by the Cooroy/Pomona RSL Sub Branch and our ex-servicemen.
The field included two visitors who played with Brian Clemow and Graham Laing and finished last with 65.25. Unbeknown to them, and thanks to our sponsors generosity, we had a prize for last place that equaled the 3rd place prize.
The winners, however, were the Michael Loe team of Michael, Tony Kershaw, Jim Lenske and John Barringer with 54.5.
Runners Up: Brett LeMoy, Wayne Price, Kerry Davies and Don Esposito.
3rd Place: Mark Kelly, Kelvin Brittain, Peter Brown and Richard Gibson.
New member Michael Todd picked up NTP's on 12 and 13.
Two of the Lucky Draw prizes were not collected so thanks to Ian Lumsden and Tony Hayes for the donation.
Jimmy's Famous Hamburger and Beer was up to the usual high standard. Thanks to Brian on BBQ, Noosa Outlook Specialty Meats on meat patties, Richies Bakery on bread rolls, Cooroy Harvest Fresh on salad, and Jimmy on entertainment and everything else.

Next Week is a Monthly Medal sponsorship by John Madill Toyota. The following Wednesday we play a 4 Man Aggregate Stableford sponsored by the 'R-Souls of Golf' (Greg Flanagan group) so get your team organised.

VOLUNTEERS
As you know, volunteers have not been able to contribute their very valuable time and effort to activities related to our club. To rectify this situation, there will be a meeting of all current volunteers and hopefully any members thinking of joining the ranks.
The meeting, I hope, will address any shortcomings related to our current system and will include a Registration form, a Volunteer Induction, and a set of Guidelines for volunteer activities both on the course and in and around the club buildings.
These Guidelines are a work in progress and input and recommendations from all concerned would be sincerely appreciated.
Date of meeting : Tuesday 27 April
If you are unable to attend this meeting, could you please contact Peter Piggott (0414 526214 or peterjpiggott@gmail.com) to organise a session at a more suitable time.

HOST DAYS
Sixty seven teams of two had an early start (7:30 Shotgun) in the District 2 Ball Aggregate Stableford in pleasant conditions on a very well maintained Maroochy River golf course. There were few if any bad lies on the fairways and the greens were about as good as it gets. The Tiff Eagle greens were very fast and true and the many different contours made chipping and putting very challenging.
None of our seven teams got a major prize. The winners came from Gympie with 78 points. Graham Laing and Dave Lyons came 10th with 70 points and got a ball each in the run down, as did Joe Daniels and Don Clelland (68 points) along with Greg Michael and Peter Piggott (67). Our other four teams enjoyed the lunch and mask free banter afterwards.
Thirty Cooroy players joined thirty five from Nambour for the Host Day at Nambour. There were two divisions and 1st and 2nd prizes in both divisions. Nambour dominated the prizes but we had two NTP winners, Brian Clemow and Andy Stewart who collected four balls each for their efforts.
New member Matthew McQueen came in with a good score of 35 points. Brian Clemow and Darryl Ayers each had 34 points, with the run down to 33 points.
The fairway were very lush and there wasn’t much run on their long par 4’s. It was very pleasing to see a big improvement in the greens compared to last spring. Many thanks to Greg Mullins (Nambour Captain) for the professional way he ran the day and the effort put in by their Committee. Monday was the first day for over a year that they had NTP’s and bunkers in play.
Our really new members Michael Todd and Neville Kunst got special welcome from Greg, who encouraged them to embrace the opportunity to play in as many host days as they can.

Keith Harkins made the Noosa Today News after a great round with the Vets. When Keith Harkins was just a lad growing up on the NSW side of the Murray River, he earned $1.50 a nine for raking the sand greens at Tocumwal golf course. A few years later he was at the wheel of a borrowed Ditch Witch, digging …
