Welcome aboard to new member, Bruce Dooley. With a name like Dooley Jimmy Henderson was excited he had a new recruit for his International All Stars team for the annual 'International versus Aussies Challenge' in September. But, to the relief of Grant and Dave Lyons, it wasn’t to be as Bruce is dead set Aussie heritage.

WEDNESDAY
Showers and humidity made it difficult to produce low scores in the March Monthly Medal but spirits were boosted by the excellent 'burgers and beer' at Marty’s Hut thanks to Jimmy and Brian.
Nicole Smithard, Marketing Manager at John Madill Toyota, joined us at Marty’s Hut with the latest Toyota Yaris. Quite impressive, but most questions were about the Yaris GR, the red hot rally car model. Nicole promised to bring the GR next visit or you can see one in the Noosaville showroom. As a thank you for our support, Madills are offering $30 off their service at John Madill Toyota Noosa when booked by 31st March 2021. Richard Gibson had an outstanding day with nett 68 to take A Grade from Michael Loe and Kerry Davies.

Neil Dwyer claimed B Grade with 66 from Derek Clayton. Paul O'Hare made a welcome return to the podium to take 3rd place.
|
Alex Kologaras produced the best net score of the day, 64, to take to take C Grade from Rudy Agerbeek and Brad Lavender. Brad (he claimed he had an "ordinary day") also picked up a bottle of wine in the Lucky Draw.
|
74 off the stick saw Richard Gibson also take out the Kevin Tonkin Best Gross from Kerry Davies 76, Mike Kent 81 and Peter Crosby 81.
|
|
Grant and Jimmy will be on the prowl next Wednesday checking players bags for the 5 of Clubs, 2 Man Ambrose event sponsored by 'The Ball Busters' (The Joe Daniels Group).
|
|
QVGU - STATE CHAMPIONSHIP
The 2021 State Veterans Championships will be held on the 17th and 18th May 2021 at the Tropics Golf Club in Townsville.
|

We visit Headland on Monday, 29th March. The nomination sheet is available in the clubhouse. We are limited to 40 players so don't delay nominating. Ladies are invited. If you play, wear club colours.
