WEDNESDAY
The Single Stableford Multiplier saw some big margins between the teams at the top of the leader board and those lower down.
|
Bob Read and Rex Williams combined well to produce a great score of 88 to win the Multiplier competition from Brett LeMoy and Kerry Davies 79 and Dave Lyons and Rowan Braithwaite 70.
|
The secret to success in the multiplier is combining well with your playing partner to ensure you both record a score on the hole 1 x 2 = 2. If you have a bad result then do it on the same hole 0 x 0 = 0, 4 x 0 = 0!
|
Thanks to 'We Stand Taller' (aka Dave Lyons, Ray Glover and Bruce Dooley) for sponsorship of the event - they got to nominate the type of game!
|
Now that everyone is familiar with how the multiplier works we will play the multiplier only next year - no Single Stableford competition.
|
The Single Stableford also produced some good scores with Wayne Carty taking B Grade with 41 from Rex Williams 40 and Ken McKay 39.
|
Nick Kostalas had good round with 41 to take C Grade on countback from Trevor Kinneally 41 and Kerry (I hardly ever win anything) Martin on 38.
|
Brett LeMoy won A Grade with 37 from Michael Lunney 36 and Bob Noble 36.
|
|
Next Wednesday is a Single Stableford off the BLUE tees with a prize for 'most use of the course'. It is Territory Day sponsored by 'The Territorians' aka Andrew Dick, Mike Smith, Jack Timm and Ian Lumsden.

HOST DAY PROGRAM
Cooroy Vets representatives enjoyed a very well organised day at Gympie for the 2021 District Vets Matchplay Championship with some success. The B Grade Team of Andrew Carson, Dave Lyons, Paul Williams and Bruce Otto took out 3rd place with 32 wins, not too far behind the winners, Mt Coolum. The A Grade Team of Gary Menyweather, Greg Michael, Mike Kent and Brian Clemow had mixed results with Gary winning a NTP.
