LIFE MEMBERSHIP
We are pleased to advise that the Special General Meeting held on Wednesday confirmed the awarding of life membership of Cooroy Vets to James Henderson. A fitting recognition of Jim's efforts over a long period of time.
|
|
As numerous people remark, they have never shaken hands with the same person so many times. Jim is always up for a chat and laugh and you always feel it is going to be a good day after one of Jim's greetings and handshakes.
|
We will present Jim with his gold life member shirt and life member plaque later this year.
|
|
|
WEDNESDAY
Todd (right in picture with Brendan) leaves with his 100% win rate in tact in the Vets versus Greens Staff Challenge. A fitting result for Todd's last day.

And they were the easy holes! But, the 'challenges' didn’t cause too much of a problem for our 4 Man Ambrose winners, the 'Dick Team’ of Andrew Dick, Mike Smith, Rick Lenske and Jim Lenske. They each receive $40.00 in their member bar account.

Runners Up went to the 'Flanagan Team' of Greg Flanagan, Peter Crosby, Geoff Cowan and Ray Lally.
|
The 'Wilson Team' of Terry Wilson, Neville Kunst, Hans Herrle and Michael Hill claimed third place. The rundown went to 59.
|
|
Todd joined us afterwards with a packed clubhouse showing their appreciation for his work on the course over the past few years and wishing Todd every success in his new role at Mt Coolum.

HOST DAY PROGRAM
On Monday we hosted Tin Can Bay and two of our members did not turn up. This follows three no shows at Mt Coolum earlier which was embarrassing for our Committee and annoying to their captain in particular, who had to rush to his tee (1b) after re-arranging groups to accommodate. Most of the no-shows can be attributed to the member not knowing their name was down. So, if you put another player on any nomination sheet you are responsible for advising the player of this, and for taking his name off the sheet if he can’t play. When we hosted Nambour, one of our players name was down three times. Fortunately last Monday the two players were in groups of four so it was easily handled.

The nominations, tee times and arrangements for our visit to Caloundra on Friday, 25th June are available in the link below. Carts have been organised for those requiring them - no need to contact Caloundra pro-shop. It is essential that you contact Host Day Captain, Dave Lyons, on 0419722104 if you need to cancel.

We host Caloundra on Monday, 12th July. The nomination sheet will be in the Clubhouse from Friday, 18th June.
