VISIT TO NAMBOUR
Twenty two from Cooroy and a smaller number from Maroochy River visited Nambour last Monday. There were two divisions 0-19, and 20-36.
Nambour took out the top two prizes in each division, and all but two (Maroochy River) of the six NTP’s. But Cooroy killed them in the raffles taking out 7 of the 8 prizes. Graham Laing won the main prize ($30) from Jack Timm who took out second, and won another (bottle of wine). Four others from Cooroy took home wine.
|
Cooroy’s best score was Mike Kent with 35, winning a ball in the run-down along with Rex Williams (34), Kevin Crundall (34), Andre Smit (33), Joe Daniels (33), Russ Rylance (33), and Bob Read (32).

HIGHLIGHTS of THE WEEK
Our fundraiser for Prostate Cancer raised around $800 which will be donated to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia. The Produce Store proved popular with all produce sold raising $100. Thanks to Mike Smith for the idea and for donating lots of avocados and to all those who donated produce.

Golden Walnut Cup (best Stableford score) - Rudy Agerbeek
|
Ben Dover Trophy (worst Stableford score) - David Attrill - thrilled at the win as the picture shows. The previous holder, Ian Mulhall, was relieved to return the trophy as it means he no longer needs to explain its significance to his grandchildren.
