HOSTING PEREGIAN SPRINGS
Thirty three vets from Peregian Springs and one visitor joined us for a field of 71 and a great day on a course rapidly showing the benefit of recent rain.
|
Cooroy performed well with Andy Stewart (there's that name again - Andy will need to build a bigger trophy cabinet) taking A Grade with 38, Ross Hepworth (PS) taking B Grade with 42 and Rod Roemermann C Grade with an exceptional 47 - well played Rod.

HIGHLIGHTS of THE WEEK
Greg Flanagan returned to form to take A Grade with 43 from Bob Noble with 40 (you were leading the field for while Bob) on countback from Vets president, Graham Laing.
|
Derek Wood won B Grade with 40 from Rick Rickard with 38 and Kerry Martin (moving up from C Grade and on the podium again) with 37.
|
Ian Mulhall took out C Grade with 40 on countback from Kevin Crundall and Mike O'Donnell 37.
The Crundall Team of Kevin Crundall, Phil Mason, Kerry Martin and Trevor Kinneally took out the 3 x 6 = 18 competition with steady golf from each team member with Captain Kev throwing in a good 40 to give a total of 97.

WHAT's COMING UP
23rd October 2019(Wednesday): Monthly Medal and annual Prostate Cancer Fund Raiser. There will be a Competition Fee of $15.00 ($13.00 plus $2.00 gold coin) with the proceeds after green fees going towards the fundraiser. There will also be a 'Produce Store' with stuff on sale for nominal value. If you have any produce you can contribute bring it along.

Greens Renovation: Greens renovations will commence on Sunday afternoon on 3rd November 2019 and will finish on the Tuesday, 5th November 2019, weather permitting.

INJURY LIST
Vice Captain, Jim enjoyed his recent stint in hospital so much he going back in to do it all over again for a second hip replacement. Tony Foster is going in around the same time for similar surgery so they can compare scars.
|

Captain Grant has been cleared to drive and is well on the road to full recovery but no golf yet.
