WEDNESDAY
Still a very wet course BUT the sun shone all day.. for a change.
|
Highlights of MAY Monthly Medal: Brian Clemow kept the scrutineers in suspense until almost the last minute to take A Grade with a good 67. Peter Piggott took Runner Up with 69 and Graham Laing 3rd Place with 70.
|
Ray Lally says he will be back shaking up A Grade very soon after taking out B Grade with a very good 65. Dale (Rick) Rickard grabbed Runner Up with 69 and David Attrill 3rd Place with 70.
|
In his own words 'I'm back'... Tony Kershaw took out C Grade with a very good 65 from Paul O'Hare with 69. Geoff Cowan took 3rd Place with 71.

NEXT WEDNESDAY
Next week is a time start, Stableford and FREE Sausage Sizzle stop at Marty's Hut, weather permitting. This is Jimmy's (aka Irish) last catering event before heading back to Ireland for a month long visit to catch up with family.

MARYBOROUGH
The MaryRoy Shield is up for grabs again next month. Maryborough visit Cooroy on Monday, June 3rd with the return Cooroy visit to Maryborough on Tuesday, 11th June.
|
We have a 40 seat bus organised for the trip to Maryborough paid for by recent raffle. Don't delay nominating; first in get seats.
|
The nomination sheets will be available in the clubhouse. Female members of Cooroy Vets are welcome.

ANZAC DAY 4 MAN AMBROSE

Our weather affected ANZAC Day event has been deferred to Remembrance Day on Wednesday, 13th November 2019.

RECYCLING

Grant picked his timing to entertain a visitor from America and show off some of Australia. Away for 6 games but only missed playing one!
|
Apparently it was necessary it to demonstrate how much Aussies like a drink.. hence the extra bag of empties.
|
|
If you are not already doing so a reminder to bring in your empties each week for recycling - the club benefits financially.
|

DISTRICT TEAM CHALLENGE
The Sunshine Coast District Veteran Golfers Association 2019 District Team Challenge will be played at Pelican Waters on Thursday, 16th May 2019.
|
This year we will be represented by Grant Smallacombe, Greg Michael, Peter Piggott, Terry Lyons, Andrew Dick, Mike Smith, Doug Pearce, Rex Williams, John Cairns and Don Clelland.
