VALE LEN HIGHLAND
It is with regret that we advise the passing of Len Highland.
|
Len joined Cooroy Vets in 2012. Unfortunately health issues in recent times made it difficult for Len to play regularly but, he always enjoyed his time on the course with friends.
|
|
Our condolences to the family and friends.
|
|
|
|
HIGHLIGHTS of the WEEK
A record for Cooroy Vets - four consecutive Wednesday competitions with a field of 90 or more. A great start to the year. It's pleasing to see many of our new members are now Wednesday regulars.
|
The clubhouse (we might need a bigger one!!) was a pretty lively place on Wednesday for our free sausage sizzle, very ably prepared as usual by Jimmy 'Irish' Henderson and Brian 'The Chef' McLoughlin.
|
A great round saw Peter Palmer and Tony Hayes take first place with 59.5.
|
We couldn't separate Peter Jeucken/Ray Nolan and Andy Stewart/Keith Harkins for second place.
|
John Wuersching and Gordon Green filled the final podium spot.
|
|
Rex Williams was in the groove with his pin shots taking the 3rd and 4th NTP's and then winning a bottle of wine in the lucky draw.
|
|
HOST DAYS
We are pleased to announce that Dave Lyons has agreed to take on the important role of Host Day Captain. With a busy host day schedule coming up Dave is in for a baptism of fire but with the full support of the committee.
