MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU)

Cooroy Veterans' Golf Club operates as a separate sub entity of Cooroy Golf Club with its own Constitution, Management Committee and bank account.

Arrangements between Cooroy Golf Club (The Club) and Cooroy Vets are formalised under a Memorandum which sets out the rights, obligations and responsibilities of each party.

Following a review, the MOU has been updated and resigned by both parties.

Some key points:

  • A key principle in the operation of the MOU is a collaborative communication environment. To this end the President of Cooroy Golf Club and the President of Cooroy Vets meet on a regular basis.

Day to day operations between the parties are facilitated through nominated single points of interaction; currently Wayne Patston, Club Manager for Cooroy Golf Club and Grant Smallacombe, Vets Captain.
  • Cooroy Vets recognises Cooroy Golf Club as its preferred, but not exclusive, supplier of certain goods and services and undertakes to purchase 85% of it's annual spend on these goods and services from Cooroy Golf Club.
  • From time to time Cooroy Vets may, in accordance with its Constitution, fund initiatives aimed at improving the golf course or facilities or providing equipment for the benefit of all members of Cooroy Golf Club. As a guiding principle, initiatives funded by Cooroy Vets must demonstrate an outcome that significantly raises the standard of the course or facilities and which are aligned with The Club Strategic Plan and Course Master Plan. It is agreed that the Vets will not fund work necessary to provide a safe, well maintained and presented course and facilities as that is the responsibility of The Club.
