Week ending 23rd February 2019

Hi reader,

Next week is a 'Pick your Poison' Stableford.

BEFORE you play you will be required to highlight on your card in front of the Vets Captain, Grant:
2 Par 3's
2 Par 5'3
5 Par 4's

You add your score for these holes for your score for the day. Your 18-hole score will also count for a separate prize.

Tickets in the Maryborough bus raffle will be on sale again next Wednesday.

Assist club revenue - save up your recyclables and bring them to the club once a week. You can drop them off in a bag at the bar.

With the uncertain weather Mt Coolum will make a decision about play on Sunday afternoon. If it is cancelled a message will be posted on the Cooroy Golf Club website.

WORKING BEE Monday, 4th March 2019

The joint working bee with Noosa District Landcare will be held on Monday, 4th March. We would like between 10 to 20 volunteers for 3 hours from 7.30 am. Others are most welcome as it will be a pretty informal morning.

There will be planting but it is more a promotional day for Landcare and our golf club in particular. As such, there will be some formalities with introductions by Ilana, Landcare Project Leader and a representative from SEQ Water with representatives of two local newspapers in attendance.

For the more active volunteers, see you at the shed at 7:30.

More information will be available on the Volunteer Noticeboard on the clubhouse verandah. Landcare will complete planting at a later time.

WEDNESDAY 20th February 2019

Another great effort by Jim Henderson and Brian McLoughlin on the BBQ at Marty's Hut - thank you.

Peter Jeucken returned a very good 45 to take A Grade from Rex Williams 42 and Andrew Dick 40.

Placings in B Grade required a three way countback with Graeme (Ozzie) Osborne eventually winning out from Ray Hand and Dale Rickard all on 41.

Bob Read put in a great performance to shoot 44 to take C Grade from Tom Murphy 39 and John Kelly 39.

It didn't matter how good a shot he hit on the 15th Andy Stewart was never going to produce a better result than his previous tee shot on the hole. However, Andy did win the NTP on the 7th.

HOSTING Mt COOLUM 18th February 2019 - RESULTS

Not quite the record but a very good field of 118 with 78 visitors from Mt Coolum and a very busy clubhouse both before and after the game. Thanks to Wayne and House Director, Leith Barr for the excellent hamburgers.

Highlight of the day was a hole-in-one on 15th by Andy Stewart.

Jason Egan maintained his good form to take A Grade with 40. Dave Lyons took B Grade with 42.

Ron Blount shot the lights out with 45 to take C Grade. Gary Dwyer shot 42 to take D Grade.
