Hi reader,

WEEKLY WRAP

There were a lot of thoughtful faces in the clubhouse on Wednesday before tee-off as players selected 9 holes for the 'Pick your Poison' Stableford competition and had them verified by Grant. It must have worked as there were some good scores.

A Grade went to Tony Hayes with 25 from Phil Mason, B Grade went to John Butler with 23 on countback from Lance Horn. New member Mike O'Donnell took C Grade with 23 from Dave Chapman.

Dave Chapman also collected two NTP's.

Honest Errol Radley took out A Grade in the 18-Hole Stableford competition with 42. Jim Gregg took B Grade with 41 and Kim Bannikoff C Grade with 41.

Despite playing brilliant consistent golf Errol was sledged as being boring by his playing partners - par, par, par, another par, almost a par, par, par, par, par, another par and so on....... Even though the wheels fell off on the last two holes Errol recorded 42!

HOST DAY visit to Mt COOLUM on 25th February

43 Cooroy players ventured to the host day at Mt Coolum. It would have been 44 if Joe Daniels was not stuck on a cruise ship unable to get to port due to cyclone Oma.

Brian Clemow finished our best with 2nd place in B grade with 42 points.

NTPs went to Errol Radley and Brian Batch.

Balls in the rundown: Dave Lyons, Mike McGreal, Gary Dwyer, Doug Pearce, Terry McCulloch, Michael Loe and Jim Henderson.

DISTRICT 2-PERSON AGGREGATE STABLEFORD

Competing in very difficult near-cyclonic conditions at Maroochy River, the 8 Cooroy Teams produced an excellent result taking three of the top five places. Congratulations - well done. Once again Cooroy competes strongly in a District competition.

1st Place - Brian Clemow and George Hall, 66 points
3rd Place - Andy Stewart and Andre Smit, 63 points.
5th Place (missed 4th on a c/b) - Peter Piggott and Greg Michael, 62 points.

STABLEFORD PLAYER of the YEAR (SPotY)

Lance Horn has taken over the lead from Andrew Dick. Len Highland and Errol Radley are tied for 3rd.
