Hi reader,
It is almost impossible to remember how tragic a place the world is when you are playing golf
Bar Shower
I'm getting older and not as well balanced as I once was so my doctor told me to put a bar in my shower. I'd have to say I'm really quite happy with it.

SINGLE MATCHPLAY

The finalists in this year’s Single Match play Championships are Peter Kennedy and Lance Horn. Peter will be playing off scratch and Lance off 18. Best of luck to both players.

In future the winner of the single match play will automatically qualify for the next years competition as the 16th qualifier, or higher, if he finishes in a higher spot.

WEDNESDAY

The Nudgee Boys made one of their regular visits with Cooroy getting away with a win, for a change. Although we expect there will be retribution when we next visit Nudgee.

Highlights of Wednesday Single Stableford: Bob Noble returned to form with a great 45 to take the A Grade prize. Kerry Martin fired a very creditable 42 in a hard charging B Grade field to take the prize on a countback from Roman Pajak.

Andrew Carson had a dream game firing 45 to take out C Grade from Tom Murphy with 43.

Con Russell returned home from Melbourne to the 'warmer weather' and slipped straight into good form on the course and the winning Aggregate Stableford team.

The Knapp Team of Paddy Knapp, Bill Galvin, Con Russell and Tom Murphy took out the 4 Man Aggregate Stableford prize with 157 and daylight to the next team.

Unfortunately, sponsor of the day, 'The Golf Pirates', are down to a crew of one - John Round. John is looking for new recruits so if you are interested in being a member sponsor speak to John - of course a name change is open to negotiation.

2018 SPotY LEADERBOARD

Grant has regained top spot with a creditable 40 points this week (nearly a shot a hole improvement over last week's effort).

The other top positions have also changed with Ron Blount and Jim Henderson elevating themselves to 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.

The dark horse to watch is Peter Buchbach lurking in 12th spot but still only having played only 9 games.
