• Supports provision of information in an easily accessible, flexible digital form.
• Provides enhanced member service through expanded level of detail for events and competitions.
• Supports member engagement objectives.
• Promotes club events and competitions.
• Event Calendar consistently ranks in top five page views for website – Google Analytics.

A decision has been made to cease producing the Annual Program Book in a printed format and instead move to using the online Event Calendar available on the website as the principle source of reference for competition and event information.

This job involves creating and maintaining entries in the Event Calendar via a secure login to a Google Calendar account.  The key benefits of the Event Calendar are:

1. It is low cost
2. It is accessible from any desktop or mobile device that connects to the internet.
3. Changes to events and competitions are quickly and efficiently accommodated.
4. It features expended detail and descriptions for events.
5. It provides flexible viewing formats – week, Month and List All,

The program of competitions and events is presented as a dynamic rolling 12 month view, assisting planning and scheduling.

A dedicated desktop computer is available in the clubhouse for use by members to make Event Calendar enquiries and to demonstrate its’ use to members not so comfortable using technology to access information available on our website.

Members without internet access will be provided with printed Calendar excerpts for the ‘next month’ or 2 months when required.

The Event Calendar is a significant step in a broader process to engage members and provide information in an easily accessible digital form via The Club website.

• Good working knowledge of Google Calendar – training available.
• Attention to detail and good working knowledge of text formatting.
• Ability to demonstrate Event Calendar to others.

No physical effort required apart from typing and availability requirement to make updates as and when required.

• Convenient access to a secure computer device.
• Access to Google Calendar via secure login.  Login details provided to authorised volunteers.
• A Reference Guide provides entry format standards.

Changes to Event Calendar must be co-ordinated through:

MEN – Andy Campion(authorised user) and Cyril Trist (Men’s Captain)

WOMEN – Wendy Morse (authorised user) and Terri Cairns (Women’s Captain)

VETS & OTHER – Rod Booth (authorised user) and Grant Smallacombe (Vets Captain)

Wendy, Andy, Terri and Rod are available to participate in education of members in the use of Event Calendar and website.
