VETS: Newsletter week ending 19th November 2016

Maleny Visit

A 20-strong Cooroy Vets contingent ventured up to Maleny to take part in the Maleny Seniors/Vets Tuesday competition.  A great day with everyone enjoying the course with its rolling hills and fewer trees (than Cooroy), welcoming hosts and sausage sizzle afterwards.

The scenic drive up to Maleny and playing in magnificent weather was a reminder that we live in an unbelievably beautiful part of the World – we shouldn’t take it for granted.

Currently you play the 9 holes twice with the index changing the second time around which made it interesting even though you hit from the same Tee.  Maleny is adding 3 more holes next year.

Our best performed were:

Rod Booth 39, Brian Clemow 34, Andrew Dick 34, Grant Smallacombe 34 and Carmel Clark 33.

Ray Nolan picked up a NTP on the 5th.
