Ladies Tuesday Club – 2015 AGM Report

Coordinator’s Report to Ladies Tuesday Club 2015 AGM.

Sadly this year we lost one of our much loved members, Margie Brown. Margie was a member for many years and was a vibrant and happy person and will be missed by many people.

2015 Oncology Day CteeA happier event this year was our very successful fund raising day for the Noosa Hospital Oncology Unit.  This was our best year ever raising $907.  The CEO of the hospital was so impressed with our efforts over several years that the hospital contributed funds as well and finally the unit was able to purchase their vein-finder thus ensuring their patients the least amount of injections and discomfort.  Thank you to everyone who contributed to this amazing result.

This year has been very successful.  We have gained 6 new members; many people have been really improving with their golf with some players moving up to playing in the Thursday Women’s Competition.  In addition I am sure much of that has been achieved by the expert tuition from Cyril – Thank you Cyril for all your efforts.

We are very lucky to have so many Vets volunteering to improve our course.  Nearly every Tuesday we see them toiling away on the course and I would like to thank them for all their hard work.  It is much appreciated.

Once again the Vets hosted us and in return we hosted them to a 4 person Ambrose.  Both days were hugely successful and what we lacked in trophies was made up by a sumptuous morning tea provided by our ladies.  Thank you for everyone who helped on those two special days.

I would also like to thank Wayne for his support of the Tuesday Club.  Without his help we would not have so many things done for us. Thank you Wayne for all that you do.

Last, but not least, I would like to thank my amazing committee.  Without them I would be lost. I never have to ask them to do anything – they just step up and it’s done.  Sadly Carole Clancy is stepping down next year as she has so many other commitments. Carole has worked tirelessly behind the scenes and will be missed greatly. Thank you Carole for your amazing efforts. I will be eternally grateful to you. In addition to thanking Carole for her committee work I would also like to thank her and Margie Lucas for all their hard work in creating our beautiful gardens. They are spectacular.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy and safe Christmas and look forward to seeing you here in 2016.
