CAPTAIN’s CORNER

Some of us were fortunate enough to get 2 games of golf in this week and somehow we managed to dodge the rain on both occasions.

On Monday 47 players took part in the April Monthly Medal that was postponed previously due to wet weather.  The stand out score came from Dale Rickard who finished with a nett 64.

Our Wednesday field of 71 was down a bit and for this we will blame the weather forecasters as our game ended up being played in perfect conditions.

NEW MEMBER

A big welcome to our latest new Vets member in David Jones.  David turned 55 on Wednesday and had organized his membership to be paid so he could compete on the day.  And compete he did as he now has the perfect record of 1 game for 1 win.  David took out the A-Grade and won by a count back with 40 points.

NEXT WEEK

Don’t forget next week is a “4 Man Ambrose” so you need to have a group of 4.   It is also our Prostate Cancer Fundraiser so please bring along a few extra gold coins so you can take part in some extra activities out on the course.  There will be a sausage sizzle provided at completion of play.

Entry Fee is $15.00 and it’s an 8:00am shot gun start.
