‘From the Shed’ – Major Projects Update as at 5th March 2014

A dry summer has assisted us in completing several major projects.

100m of ag drains have been installed in the 17th fairway with a path now running along the left hand side to assist carts during wet weather. Hopefully this fairway will stay playable throughout wet weather now.

The extension work on the 5th and 6th greens are completed and now open for play. Thank you for every ones patience during this project and I hope everyone is enjoying the larger greens and varied pin positions.

The extension of the 11th approach (photo left) is complete and I have had great positive feedback from members. This area is now open for play but closed for carts. The extension also involved lowering of the storm water pipe which will hold the creek slightly lower and prevent flooding of the 11th green through average rainfall. The 11th green has never looked better.

Most recently the path along the 9th dam wall has been completed, this means carts can travel right round the ninth and park at the tenth tee to play the ninth green. This project has been carried out to keep carts away from the left of the green. This area is roped off so we can regenerate the grass.

Thank you for every ones patience whilst these works were carried out and a big thank you to the Vets for funding the majority of these projects.
